Finally got my drive to 0% fragmentation and it's still there. It happens in FF, Chrome, IE, AND Safari, but only on my PC. I m gonna try remove extensions. Could also be something running at your house interfering with your wifi. Micro wave and cell phone, depending on how you router is set. Does he use a 2,4Ghz transmission. 802,11 b or g. could be something interfering with that. I m not sure, but i tend to trust a FF problem somewhere, since this prob occured to me with the install of the newest version. so long i ve the same problem since the new version of firefox. I got rid of it, but I don't know how. I noticed that when I had trouble streaming, my CPU spiked real hard. So I disabled everything (FF extensions and background processes), defragged extensively w/JK Defrag, and cleared out temporary files/history. After that I could watch short films on Vimeo again; and my CPU no longer spiked. If it's anything that coincides with our rigs, it's Zonealarm and SP2 update. I have since disabled Zonealarm. Why? They're still working out the kinks with x64...so maybe that's why my CPU spiked when I tried to stream video. ZA is the only catalyst that uses both CPU and internet. CPU occasionally spiked when casually browsing, but it was only noticeable when streaming media. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but I had the same problem two days ago.
