Because everyone’s going to ask:
Canon 7D | TC-80N3 Intervalometer | 16-35mm f/2.8 L II
16mm | f/2.8 | ISO 800 | ~1/6″ | 10″ interval
1113 jpeg images @ Medium resolution (3456×2304)
Still have a lot to learn about timelapses, but after spending quite a lot of time with my 7D and new intervalometer yesterday I’m starting to get the hang of it.
The first thing you’ll probably notice is the flickering. This is because I had the camera in Aperture Priority. Meaning, I manually set the Aperture and the camera automatically sets the shutter speed. Unfortunately, I had the metering spot on one of the telephone poles and any slight change in the light caused the camera to keep switching to different shutter speeds. Oh well, I’ll know for next time.
The amount of flexibility you have when you’re shooting timelapse is amazing. I had the ISO set to 800 so I could have a somewhat fast shutter speed, but it can be set as low as 100, providing a super clean image. It’s also shooting in 3K resolution (this can be pushed all the way to nearly 5K), which is how I was able to do the digital zoom (that was all post).

Wow, what great footage. Excellent, excellent quality.
The 7D looks like it’d be quite a nifty (to say the least) tool.
