Sorry Sean, I should have looked around a little before asking you that.
From a few websites I’ve been on, it was apparent that there was some windows trouble earlier on in the piece, but it seems alright with mid-range macs, running on Final Cut.

Hey Sean,
I’m really wanting to get a 5D, but not sure if my mac would be powerful enough to handle editing this footage? Are there min operating specs?

I’d say these cameras are great for novices. Shooting can be done in complete auto mode or full manual mode.

The only problem you might run into would be in editing. There’s no intermediate codec like camcorders have, so unless you have a super fast computer, you’ll most likely struggle even playing back the footage because it’s such a high bitrate. There are plenty of workarounds, though.
